Samsung Stratosphere Review It seems as though high-end QWERTY sliders are traveling alongside the Bald Eagle these days. It’s rarer to find them in the wild today, thanks to the surge of sexy thin and light devices like the Motorola Droid RAZR or Samsung Galaxy Nexus. That’s why the Samsung Stratosphere’s release was a bit of a quagmire. In many ways, the Samsung Stratosphere is Verizon’s version of last year’s Epic 4G for Sprint. In fact, it would have made more sense for the phones to have been released simultaneously back in New York last year. But perhaps there was some sort of manufacturing or engineering hiccup that led the Stratosphere to a late 2011 debut. The nexus is a piece of plastic shit.
ICS is great but the Galaxy Nexus hardware is a joke. The fact is if I would have went with the Nexus I would have had to downgrade my hardware to do so. Both the Motorola DROID RAZR and HTC REZOUND blow away the GN in hardware specs now this may be okay with some people but not with me. The Nexus might be the most over rated device yet this year.

I had a chance to use ics on the nexus. If android goes that route I will convert to ios. Ics does not have the DROID feel, its more a watered down version of ios and android combined.

It is not an Epic 4G for Verizon, it’s a Nexus S with a keyboard and LTE. Why? Becase it doesn’t use an rfs file system like the Epic, Charge, Fascinate, and other 1st generation Galaxy S phones. That means it is faster out of the box, like a Nexus S. I can get 1700 on quadrant with my Stratosphere, other Galaxy S phones are in the 900′s
